i am wanting to know how long a small breed like my yorkie could last with parvo? maybe hours,days? i was thinking since he is smaller it would attack his body faster. also when is the soonest you can treat a dog for fleas?
my dog doesn’t have parvo. this is just a ‘what if?” kind of question

Ignoring the first part because it’s sort of a waste of time to answer because your dog should be vaccinated for it.
Also, get your dog on Frontline which is a treatment you put down the back (starting at the shoulder blades) to PREVENT fleas. Follow the instructions carefully.

The home remedies are to give him pedialyt to keep him hydrated; peptol to calm the vomiting and upset stomach;and some honey for his sugar to stay level.

Take him to the vet now. there is a vaccine for that virus but i dont know what they do after infection. Home remedies are **** and your dog will die.

My sister’s dog survived parvo, and she is the craziest, most hyper dog I’ve ever seen in my life!! The only time that I have ever seen her not running around crazy was when she had parvo. A week after she recovered, she was her old self again. We never took her hyper ways to be annoying after that, we were just thankful that she was still here to be happy!

If the dog has not completed the series of 3 parvo shots, then yes the dog can get parvo.

I got a puppy in January and was very sick with Parvo, everyone had told me that most dogs die with it, Well luckly our vet helped out alot with her and she fought off it off. She is the spoilest dog now that ive ever owned

yes most dogs either die or are put to sleep bcos owners dont want to spend alot of money making them better. Sounds like ur dog was lucky to have you as an owner and lucky to be diagnosed early on.
