Question by 930522: I think my dog has parvo, will she still be alive tomorrow morning?
My dog has been throwing up and having diahrrea all day, I just went online and she has all the symptoms of parvo but it’s too late to go to the vet. Will she still be alive tomorrow?
I would take her to the emergency vet, but I’m only a teenager and my parents wouldn’t let me take her to the emergency vet.

She could be but i would take her to an emergency vet tonight if possible. At the very least keep giving her fluids such as pedialyte to keep her hydrated.

Isn’t there an emergency pet clinic in your neighborhood?
You can look up an emergency vet in your area. If she has Parvo, the sooner you get her there, the better her chances are.
dude,… vet
you can never tell. parvo reacts differently in each dog. try to keep her drinking water(or orange gatorade) to keep her hydrated. try and see if your vet has an emergency # to call. good luck
Whoa…next time go to the vet. Now.
And look at this website for treatments:

Hope she gets better…poor thing.
Slim chance. She may or may not make it until morning. I would call the emergency line and get her in now! You will be paying for them to hook her up to an iv and save her either way, you might as well go through emergency and save her life tonight…..otherwise come tomorrow morning because you have not made an appointment they will charge you this emergency drop in fee anyway…..might as well get in sooner
That’s so terrible to hear but honestly I’m not a Vet and don’t know anything about medicine. But I do know that most areas have emergency numbers to call for animals when the vet isnt open. If there isnt an emergency vet in your area you need to call 411 for a larger city near you and larger cities most definitely will have an emergency vet where you can bring your animal to anytime of day! I hope this helps and your doggie makes it! =(
unfortuantely no she probably will not or if she is she will be beyond the point where treatment will have any kind of chance of success. she needs to see a vet tonight. this is definitely a good reason to see an ER vet. how old is this dog, is the diarrhea bloody with a strong pungent odor? is she lethargic, has she lost her appetite? all of these are good indicators of parvo. even when caught early and treated right away there is never a guarantee with parvo. good luck and hope she makes it
Unless there is blood in here stool and vomit, it is probally not parvo. PLUS, parvo has a very distinctive smell. It does not smell like puke & pooh, it smells like live rotting flesh. Alot of the time the only thing coming out is watery blood. If it is an adult dog & has all its vacinations, it is highly unlikely that it is parvo. Hook worms have very similar symptoms to parvo.
I am assuming your parents have had pets in the past, and have some idea of what they are doing. Trust that. Know that the internet can be misleading, espcially if you are only looking for bad news.
My advice, look up hook worms on line, and check out the symptoms. And don’t forget to breathe!
Can you show your parents what you found on line , if you can show them then maybe they will take you to the emergency animal hospital near you , and you should call them and find out there hours incase they say yes, because if it is parvo and I am pretty sure it is , it can kill your babie before morning if you can”t get it help from a vet. The longer it takes to get help for your babie the less chance it will have to live. And this is a very painful death. I wish you best of luck, Maybe you can get a friend to take it to the hospital if your parents won”t .
Parvo is a serious condition that can kill your dog-there has got to be an emergency 24 hour vet somewhere in your city. Take the puppy there tonight.
Tell your parents your dog HAS to go to an emergency vet NOW.
