My dog got loose last Friday and was found up by where a few dogs have died recently from Parvo. The last few days he has stopped eating and drinking. Find ways to earn money! Thats all you can do at this point!

does he have terrible bloody diarrhea? If so then he probably has parvo and really there isn’t a lot you can do. Why doesn’t he have his distemper shot? if he had this he probably wouldn’t have got it..there really is nothing you can do without a vet and it can be easily transmitted to other dogs..It stays in the environment for 6 months!!!
Do you know any friends or family that that could help with paying for a vet? Some vets will let you pay a small amount each month. If you don’t take your dog to a vet and he does have parvo he’ll most likely die.
1. You don’t know for sure what’s wrong with him.
2. You can’t afford a vet.
3. Therefore you can’t treat him.
I would call the Humane Society to pick him up. They would treat him or at least humanely put him down.
Call the vet and tell them your situation, they will have info on finachal assestance and orginazations that help people in situations like yours. Unfortunatly with out medical help your dog will die if it really has parvo.
Turn the dog over to rescue.
Dogs who contract the parvo virus that get absolutely no veterinary treatment almost always die.
So you choose, turn her over to rescue, suck it up and get money to go to the vet, or watch her die slowly from dehydration.
You shouldn’t own a dog then in all honesty.
You’re going to have to find a way of getting the money, or rehome him to someone that can afford to keep a dog.
But you can afford tohave a baby? LOOSER!
not signs of parvo. vomiting explosive bowels, rotten smell of dead intestines that is signs. sounds like more of an issue with possibel blackage or sick from eating rotton food. needs a vet
then sadly i dont think there is anything you can do my dogs never had pravo. has yours ever been to a vet? how did it get to this area? was it out running loose? have you asked the vet about doing payment aggranments? good luck
It only takes two days for Parvo to rip out the stomach lining of a dog, once they start showing symptoms, even if you could save him, he will never be able to digest foods normally again. You might want to call your local pound and see if you can have him humanely put down and what they would charge to do it. Parvo is an agonizing way for a dog to die, and unless you are willing to hook him up to an IV and monitor him 24 hours a day, you won’t save him.
If you love your dog…put him down now.
Well there is not alot you can do you can raise money but there is a place they may accept your dog but i dont know if your dog will have to get adopted by someone else but at least your dog will be happy and healthy you should give it a try its called dog town you should call them they will take care of not just his parvo but they will give him vaccinations and help him if he as any behavioral problems your dog will be in good hands. Till that time happens try feeding him with your hand or giving him canned food.
.
yes
your dog probbley has parvo.
without medical care it will die.
find a way to get it to a vet or get it to a rescue where it will be cared for.
Honestly, it could be anything. He could have picked up a parasite or a bug.
If the dog starts experiencing severe vomititng and diarrhea, it’s possible it may have parvo (although I’ve had a couple of dogs who had something similar to a human ”stomach bug” for three days and were fine on the fourth)
The BEST thing you can do right now is keep your dog hydrated. There is also a remedy you can buy called ”Parvaid” that i’ve heard good things about. One person I know who used it saved two of her puppies. You can find it online…it ranges anywhere from 30 – 50 bucks depending where you buy.
Also, VERY IMPORTANT!
WASH your hands after contact with your dog, ESPECIALLY your dog’s feces. This virus is HIGHLY contagious and can be spread VERY easily. Pick up the dog’s feces and dispose of carefully. If the dog has a bowel movement on a hard surface, spray that area with bleach and let it stand.Be careful where you walk as well. Try to not let the dog defecate in the grass as the virus can stay in the soil for months and remember, the dog will be shedding viral cells even after the dog gets better so keep up with the cautious disposal of feces.
Good luck!
call animal control and turn the puppy over
it is considered animal abuse not taking a dog to the vets when needed
you shouldn’t get into any trouble if you call animal control and just explain you can’t afford the vet so you are doing the right thing by turning the pup over to them
Apply at Carecredit.com – its a website that helps with emergency medial expenses. If you cant see if someone will do it for you. If your pup is still holding on, I would give him pedialyte using a syringe down his throat (no needle!). Most pups die from dehydration or secondary infection and not from the parvo itself.
Call around to vet clinics to see if they would possibly set up a payment plan or help you in anyway. If not call the animal shelter, you may have to surrender your pup to get him the treatment he needs.
The easiest treatment is to keep the dog alive by preventing dehydration and poor protein.
