Q&A: Will it help to get a parvo shot for a dog AFTER being exposed to it, but before any symptoms occur?
Question by lisa r: Will it help to get a parvo shot for a dog AFTER being exposed to it, but before any symptoms occur?
My husband and I rescued a stray dog and found him a home in 2 days, but the adoptive couple feels that the dog has parvo. One of my dog’s was due for her shots so is it too late to give her the shot after being exposed to this? And what are the early signs that she may have contracted it? I did lean the blankets the dog used with bleach. Also cleaned our house and mopped with bleach.

has the dog had any shots before or is this the first shots? shots do not expire the day after they are due for them. just because they feel the dog has parvo is not good enough they need to take the dog to a vet and find out for sure.

You should call your vet and ask him if it is to late to get the parvo shot
